Just how ridiculously gorgeous are these two?? Alas, it’s 3am and I think I really ought to get some sleep now. More from Anna & Chris’s engagement session later…

Wedding availability – 2009 now closed for bookings
I have now officially closed 2009 for wedding bookings (I was supposed to do this aaages ago, but got seduced by all your lovely weddings!). I’ve also moved over to 2010 prices and have a brand spanking new price list to go with it. If nothing else, it’s certainly at least nicer to look at than my old one. :) If I’ve consulted with you about a 2010 wedding, and you have been given the old price list, I will hold to those prices until the end of 2009 (although you might not want to wait until the end of the year to book as next year is booking up pretty fast!). If you would like to have a look at the new price list in any case, do drop me an email and I’ll send one over.
Below is an overview of my current booking situation.

Alice | Family session
This, like the shoot with Jodie, wasn’t quite a ‘newborn’ shoot any more since Alice as well is already 10 weeks old. Usually I recommend newborn shoots to take place within the first 1-2 weeks purely because it’s easier for the lil’un. At only days old, rather than weeks, babies are not really that aware of what’s happening. Thus they don’t really mind that much playing the supermodel, unlike a bit older babies who are more aware that something is required of them but can’t understand what, which would make anyone a bit cranky (not to mention the stripping you nekkid and pointing a camera at you bit)! Louise and Matt certainly worked hard to get Alice to give me some absolutely adorable smiles, and boy was it well worth it. I don’t care what you say, you just can’t help but adore this little angel!

Heather & Mark | Engagement
Heather is an American and Mark is a Londoner, which means their idea of what constitutes ‘real London’ differs greatly. Heather was all about double deckers and red phone boxes, which Mark had banned as ‘touristy’, while wanting to have The City as the backdrop. I think we did manage to find a nice balance for the pictures in the end, and even if I didn’t manage to sneak a bus into any of the pictures for Heather, we did get some with underground signs and with St Paul’s in the background!
Heather and Mark are getting married in Georgia next spring. And while I would love to capture a wedding at such a beautiful place, amongst all the lovely hanging moss from the live oak trees which I fell in love with when over there, it will actually be Heather’s friend who will be in charge of the wedding day photography. I for one can’t wait to see the pictures! I could put money on you guys having a beautiful wedding, and that Heather will look absolutely drop dead gorgeous on the big day!

Jodie | Family session
Penny and Rob contacted me as they wanted to get some family portraits of the three of them with their daughter Jodie, and to get a record of this special time in their lives in general. At 10 weeks old Jodie wasn’t quite sure about the whole photo shoot malarkey, but it was still pretty impossible to take non-cute photos of this cutie – just look at those eyes! Thanks Penny and Rob for letting me take a peek into your family life, hopefully Jodie wasn’t too traumatised by the demands of the model lifestyle!
