Simona & Dan | Engagement

If there was an award for the craziest engagement shoot weather ever, Simona & Dan’s shoot would win hands down. Oh. My. God. Gale force winds and horizontal rain made this one of my most challenging shoots to date. I have to say that Simona and Dan were absolute troopers, and despite the slightly ‘windswept’ look, Simona managed to look absolutely stunning throughout! They are one of my (many!) couples getting married at the Andaz next year, and as if that wasn’t exciting enough prospect, their evening party will take place at the Gherkin. I can’t wait!

Katie & Sam | Engagement

Sam hates being photographed. I mean really hates being photographed. So his and Katie’s engagement session certainly required some cunning methods on my part in order to try to capture some of the relaxed and loving interaction they fell into when ever the camera wasn’t pointing at Sam. Katie and Sam are a thoroughly lovely couple, and we did have a lot of fun, but boy did Sam make me work for my pictures! :D Having said that, he did swear that he’ll be on his best behaviour on the wedding day in December. I’m holding you to your promise Sam! :P

We started our shoot at Borough Market and then made our way over London Bridge into the City. Ever since Carolyn & Marc’s wedding, when ever I’m doing a shoot in the City I just cannot resist going back to Leadenhall Market! I went to see The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus recently, and was so excited to see that Leadenhall featured quite heavily in the film – so cool!

Maesha & Pete | Engagement

We’ve been trying to organise a time for Maesha & Pete’s engagement shoot since the start of the year, but have ended up rescheduling it multiple times over lots of different reasons. Last Monday we finally managed to get together for a shoot, and just in the nick of time as well, since their wedding is coming up in only a couple of weeks!

We had fun walking around the then empty Borough Market looking for interesting textures and chasing the sunlight. At first Pete wasn’t best pleased about having to ‘perform’ in public, but we reassured him we wouldn’t run into anyone he knew. Except of course right after that comment we did run into a friend of theirs just around the corner! :D What were the chances! Either way, both Maesha and Pete were a joy to photograph and they were up for trying any of my, sometimes strange, ideas.

They are such a sweet couple and their wedding is going to be gorgeous, fun and individual, just the way I like it. Can’t wait!
