The year in pictures

It seemed like 2011 whizzed past in a blink of an eye. But going through all the images from the past year, I’m reminded of all the amazing things I got to witness. So many smiles, so much love. Such different couples, venues, families, countries. It’s all a bit overwhelming really.

I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, to all of you who made 2011 so special. To my couples who put such trust in me, who are just downright amazing, and who are the reason I have the best job in the world. To other people in the UK wedding industry, some of whom I’ve become very close friends with, you all rock. To Susanna, for continuing being the best assistant anyone could wish for. And to my husband, who, despite being the most impatient person I know, has shown incredible patience and support with my workaholic ways. Love you.

I am SO excited about 2012. I have many big plans brewing, some gorgeous weddings to look forward to, and I simply can’t wait to get stuck in. Happy New Year everyone, may it be the best yet!

The year in pictures

It’s incomprehensible to me that we’ve come to the end of 2010 already, it seems like the year just flew by! Going through all the images from the weddings has reminded how much was crammed into that one short year though; so much laughter, so much love. I feel so privileged to have been let into so many people’s lives, seen so many amazing places… I can’t really think of another occupation where all this would be possible.

I’d like to say a HUGE thank you to all of my 2010 couples, you all have a special place in my heart and I feel humbled that you have put your trust in me and let me share in your most precious moments. It is a big deal.

I also can’t thank Susanna enough, she’s been with me for most of the weddings this year, and as far as assistants go this lady is in a class of her own. I can’t wait to share new adventures with her. Mwah!

Looking ahead, 2011 is looking to be pretty amazing as well. There is so much to look forward to, from the coolest London venues to the cutest seaside locations and everything in between (and beyond – looking at you France & Italy), and so many new love stories to document.

I hope you’ll join me in raising a glass to all the goodness 2010 gave us, and to all that 2011 is promising us!

Personal favourites from 2009

I can’t quite believe we’re almost at the end of this year. I still have one wedding to go until 2009 comes to a close, but you won’t see the results of that until after the new year. This year has gone by in a whirlwind, while managing to include a staggering amount of amazingness – I can’t begin to tell you how fortunate I feel. I really want to thank all of my clients who have made it possible – from the bottom of my heart – you all rock!

Also, a huge huge thank you to Susanna, who’s the most amazing assistant any photographer could ever have!

If this year was amazing, 2010 is going to be completely off the scale. I’m so stoked to already be in the position where I’m at full capacity for wedding bookings for next year (which means, if you’re thinking about hiring me for 2011 you might want to get on the case quite early). There are so many brilliant weddings to look forward to next year, from romantic countryside weddings, to London city weddings, not to mention a seaside wedding in Cornwall and a couple of absolutely enchanting sounding weddings in France! I feel a bit like a kid in a candy store and just can’t wait to get stuck in!

But first, it’s time to take some quiet time and enjoy Christmas, while reflecting on the great memories I gained during the passing year. Here are a few of my favourite pictures from 2009. And with that, Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year everyone! x
