Fiona & Peter | Engagement

November 3, 2009 · 16 Comments

October was all about the engagement shoots. I did so many that my head got a bit dizzy. Now in November I actually have at least a couple of well-deserved weekends off (woo!) until my weddings pick up again in December.

For Fiona and Pete’s engagement session we tried to think of something a bit different from the standard wandering-around-the-streets-approach. I got the idea of using the spaces at Andaz Liverpool Street, as there are so many different nooks and crannies with completely different atmospheres, and kindly we got a permission from the hotel to do our little shoot there. In the end I think that all the logistics and organising that went with this shoot possibly made it a bit more highly strung than the average engagement shoot, so I think in the future I’ll be sticking to the old trusted wandering model. But still, once we got going, we did have a blast shooting our way through the hotel.

Thanks so much Fiona and Pete for your patience on the day. Not long to go until the wedding and I for one am really looking forward to it!

I hate how hotels and other places can be so funny about little old me taking some shots in their building! Love the intersecting lines on the stair shots, and how you've shot the shadows :)

David, I must say that they've always been perfectly nice at the Andaz. :)

Gorgeous shots. The Andaz is on my "must visit" list… That stairwell is a replica of the Guggenheim in New York!!
