I bet Californian photographers’ blogs don’t talk about rain quite as much as mine does… It’s just a fact of London life that with every session there’s that element of excitement about whether it will bucket it down on the day or not. When it came to Nirali & Kunal’s engagement session, the pressure was really on, as between the days they were visiting London from New York and my availability, we had such a narrow window of opportunity to do our session. And of course, as if on cue, it started absolutely peeing it down an hour before our session… Luckily the rain shower was hard but short lived, and afterwards we got to have beautifully gleaming wet pavements to add a bit of London flavour into the shots.
I’m so glad the weather worked out, and despite the rain, I do love London in the autumn! It was such a pleasure meeting you Nirali & Kunal, and I hope your wedding back in NY will be absolutely fabulous! x
We have to deal with the weather in France too. Such a gorgeous couple ! Beautiful photos Marianne !
Beautiful, London looks even more beautiful than usual here ♥
Absolutely gorgeous images. Love the very first monochrome image.
This makes me feel like I am walking around in London with them – they seem so natural, and the city is an additional subject in the photos.
Gorgeous! The last frame is my favourite!
Amazing street shots!
Great set of photos!
As always, BEAUTIFUL. Marianne, I think about it every time I see the vertical portrait shots you take (like the last 3) and I always forget to ask, which lens do you prefer for these? Is it an 85mm?
Those were done with a 50. I don’t own the 85 (although it is a lovely lens), as I like to be at grappling distance. :)
Beautiful photos, Marianne! You always capture the best moments :)
Your style is very distinct and very clean. These are beautiful!
Good pics in my backyard! :-)
I love the very subtle toning to these pictures, its gives them a softness and warmth that couteracts the coldness of an urban setting. Very gentle, classical pictures. Timeless – I love them.
You can always tell that you build great rapport with your clients from your images. Very natural relationship!
