Autumnal bridal inspiration shoot by the ocean

October 10, 2016 · 20 Comments

Cornwall bridal portrait photography by Marianne Taylor. Click through to see more magic by the ocean!

The original concept for this shoot might have started as something completely different and the circumstances, the weather, and the tide might have been against us, but in the end, I think this is where we were meant to end up. These were the images that we were supposed to create. The wind, the rugged Cornish coast, the modern bridal vibe, it all came together perfectly. I guess sometimes you just have to let go, enjoy the journey, and trust that it all works out!

It was such a pleasure to work with such an amazing team, and I fell head over heels in love with this separates gown by Ailsa Munro and the wildly perfect flowers by This Rugged Coast. I hope you enjoy looking at these windswept images as much as I enjoyed shooting them!

Beautiful rustic autumnal charcuterie table. Click through to see more!

Now that autumn is most definitely in the air, I feel it’s appropriate to share this gorgeous charcuterie setup from our inspiration shoot with Hannah Berry Flowers and Kalm Kitchen at Millbridge Court. Autumn is generally not my favourite time of time of year, so I love anything that makes you feel like the crisp air and rustic colours are exactly what the doctor ordered, and I think this shoot delivers on that front! So, wrap up warm, scroll down and feast your eyes on all the yumminess!

Happy Doughnut Day!

This might have been my favourite part of our inspiration shoot with Hannah Berry Flowers and Kalm Kitchen at Millbridge Court. I think you’ll agree that there are few things more delicious than an actual wall of doughnuts, and a pink one at that, too! I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing the scent was while shooting, such sweet torture (quite literally)!

I hope these cheerful doughnuts bring a bit of joy to your day, enjoy!

Inspiration Shoot : A magical springtime dessert table

May 11, 2016 · 1 Comment

A magical springtime dessert table. Click through to see more!

Last month, we got together for an inspiration shoot with Hannah Berry Flowers and Kalm Kitchen with a plan to create some visual magic at Millbridge Court. We shot four different looks on the day, and while it’s hard to point out a favourite, I was pretty smitten with this woodland-inspired springtime dessert table! I think we actually conjured up spring and finally kicked the warmer weather into action. You can thank us later!

Do come through and step into this magical setting, and why not sample some of the delicious Kalm Kitchen desserts while you’re at it, they are simply to die for!

Spring Flower Editorial with Fairy Nuff Flowers

April 8, 2015 · 4 Comments

Flower editorial photography by Marianne Taylor

I always love it when I get to work with Steph from Fairy Nuff Flowers, and never more so than we we got to create a spring flower editorial for Mennään naimisiin! magazine in Finland. We shot this editorial in the depths of winter, and it was wonderful having all these gorgeous flowers around reminding us that spring would be on its way eventually!

Thank you so much to Andi Freeman Cakes for the gorgeous edible goodies, Berinmade for the pretty menus, The Sweet Hostess for the paper goods, and Rose & Ruby Paper Co. for the place cards (you can download a free printable here).

Here’s a dose of pretty for your Friday afternoon! I did a super cute little shoot for the Bridal Musings girls Elizabeth & Claire. We wanted to capture some portraits for their fabulous website, and capture some prettiness styled by Louise of B.loved Weddings weddings. You can see lots more pictures on Bridal Musings today. Brightening up a rainy day

May 23, 2014 · 3 Comments

I am so excited that the David Austin roses I planted in the garden a couple of years ago are starting to settle into their home. The bushes still look a bit scraggy out there, but having flowers like this inside from your own garden just puts a huge smile on my face. I grew these! How gratifying.

Pretty in Pink & Turquoise

February 21, 2012 · 37 Comments

Me and the lovely Steph, of Fairy Nuff Flowers fame, met while working on Katie & John’s beautiful Northbrook Park wedding a while back, and instantly hit it off. We have a very similar sense of style and share a love for all things pretty, whimsical and rustic. While we’re lucky to get to work together on the same weddings from time to time, at some point we got the idea for a day of creating something purely for the love of it and on our own terms, mostly in order to keep our creative juices flowing. The shoot was something nice to plan and look forward to in the dark winter months.

I’ve been obsessed with a pink & turquoise colour scheme for a while, so that was our starting point. Our plans evolved slowly from there, following trips to antique markets and local thrift stores. We ended up with two different set-ups; a quirky tea party with a twist, incorporating surprising elements such as deer antler, and a rustic picnic type set-up, for which we wanted a cute Victoria sponge cake, decorated with flowers, as a focal point. This is where Charlotte from Restoration Cake came in and made the most adorable cake, plus some decadent cupcakes for the tea party setting. To complete the picture, two start up stationery design companies, Rose and Ruby Paper Co. &  Berinmade, created the prettiest paper goods that fitted the briefs perfectly.

All in all the day was just bliss. After a long time of planning, and collecting items for the shoot, we were surrounded by so much beauty that represented exactly the kind of things we would love to see at real weddings. And it goes without saying that Steph’s flowers were the perfect stars of the show.

As well as the table settings, one of my goals was to take some flowery pictures that would work as fine art prints, and I’m pretty pleased with how these came out as well. If you’re interested in having some flowery goodness on your walls, you can see a selection of wall art over at mnoo.com. Some of these images also ended up on the pages of the latest issue of You & Your Wedding magazine, so if you want to see more check out the March/April issue, out now!

P.S. I took sooo many pictures that it was quite hard to trim this post down to something sensible, keep on eye on the other girls’ blogs as you’re bound to see more prettiness from this shoot to come.
