Jane & John | Wedding

November 8, 2011 · 21 Comments

Jane & John got married at 10am on a crisp October morning at Old Marylebone Townhall. I met Jane before the ceremony at The Landmark Hotel where she got dressed into her beautiful La Sposa Denia gown from Provonias, after Sam Sham worked on her makeu-up and hair. There were also some gorgeous Jimmy Choo’s and lovely flowers by Paula Pryke involved.

From there is was a skip and a hop across the street to the Townhall, where John was waiting in the Reception Room, which is one of my favourite ceremony spaces in London. After the ceremony Jane, John and I walked across town towards Mayfair, taking some portraits on the way, before joining the guests for some delicious looking dim sum at the Princess Garden of Mayfair.

It was unusual for us to cover such an early morning wedding, with a lunchtime reception, but there was something very personal and quaint about it all. I always love it when people do their own thing and go with what suits them best.

Thank you Jane & John for having us share your lovely day with you. I hope you’ve had an amazing time on your honeymoon! x

Sarah & Dan – Reception | Wedding

August 17, 2009 · 1 Comment

I must say, I’d been looking forward to this reception at the stunning Landmark Hotel for a long time. You couldn’t really find a much more stunning venue for a wedding if you tried, and I felt very privileged to work there. Once again, this was a very international wedding, with guests from as far as Egypt and the US. Everyone was up for having a really good time, and the DJ (who was celebrating his birthday by the way) did a great job at getting people on the dance floor, which made for some great photo opportunities.

Congratulations again Sarah & Dan! And as always, thank you so much for having me.

Sarah & Dan – Ceremony | Wedding

August 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

The ceremony of Sarah & Dan’s wedding took place at St Margarets Church in Edgware. From there I got to ride with the bride and groom over to the Landmark Hotel where the festivities continued, while Susanna travelled with the guests on an old routemaster bus, which seems to be a big trend for this summer’s weddings. This particular bus came with an actual conductor and some knees-up music to keep people in good spirits. I on the other hand got to drive along Abbey Road and managed to make a bit of a faux pas when I enthused how comfortable the seats were ‘even better than in my car!’. ‘Well they ought to be, it’s a Rolls Royce!’ came the aghast answer from the driver and I was quite lucky not to have been out on my ear right then. :D

On Abbey Road, about to pass that crossing.

Sarah & Dan – Getting Ready | Wedding

August 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Sarah & Dan got married at St Margarets Church in Edgware, north London, and their reception took place at the fabulous Landmark Hotel. In the morning I tagged along as Sarah and her little bridesmaids got ready at Sarah’s parents’ house, while Susanna went to take some (pretty awesome) portraits of the boys at the nearby Edgware football club.

I shall show you more of this gorgeous wedding as I get further along in my editing. Phew, this time of year is certainly not called the silly season for nothing!

Sarah & Dan | Engagement

May 25, 2009 · 2 Comments

Sarah and Dan are pretty special. They were the first ever couple to book me, after I’ve had my website live for just a few weeks. I can’t tell you how fantastic it makes me feel that they would put their faith in me on the biggest day of their lives, knowing that I was only starting up my business back then. They’re the type of annoyingly organised people who booked last year for their wedding this August, so it’s taken a while for us to get around to organising their engagement shoot. Yesterday, on a swelteringly hot day, we finally headed off to Regent’s Park for some photos. The park was absolutely heaving with sun worshipping people, and it took quite a lot of walking trying to find seemingly secluded nooks and crannies in the vast park. And did I mention that it was h-o-t! :D

We also went to have a quick look at their wedding venue, The Landmark Hotel, which was just around the corner. What sumptuous surroundings to have a wedding in, it was truly gorgeous in there. I can hardly wait for the day, it’s going to be awesome!
