Remember that one day when we saw the sun briefly in London? That’s the day I photographed Jess and Jin’s engagement session in Hyde Park. I loved spending time with these two. I also promised to give a shout out to the young man whom we recruited to blow some bubbles for us, and who turned out to be champion bubble-blower!
I don’t often take portraits of just one person, and it’s even rarer that I would blog any of those, simply because I see myself more as a photographer of couples. But I couldn’t resist sharing this one frame of the gorgeous Neri, whose beauty pales only in comparison to her accomplishments. What an inspirational lady indeed!
Jane & John got married at 10am on a crisp October morning at Old Marylebone Townhall. I met Jane before the ceremony at The Landmark Hotel where she got dressed into her beautiful La Sposa Denia gown from Provonias, after Sam Sham worked on her makeu-up and hair. There were also some gorgeous Jimmy Choo’s and lovely flowers by Paula Pryke involved.
From there is was a skip and a hop across the street to the Townhall, where John was waiting in the Reception Room, which is one of my favourite ceremony spaces in London. After the ceremony Jane, John and I walked across town towards Mayfair, taking some portraits on the way, before joining the guests for some delicious looking dim sum at the Princess Garden of Mayfair.
It was unusual for us to cover such an early morning wedding, with a lunchtime reception, but there was something very personal and quaint about it all. I always love it when people do their own thing and go with what suits them best.

Oh how I love finally getting together with couples after what seems like forever talking over email. Cathryn & Alex are getting married next year in Cornwall (whoop whoop!), and I have to say that even though I’m normally more interested in slowing time down, when it comes to the prospect of this wedding, I wish it was here already!
For their engagement session, Cathryn & Alex wanted to return to Hyde Park, which is where Alex proposed – we even found the exact bench they were sat on when Cathryn said ‘yes’. I absolutely adore these two, and had so much fun making them roll around all over the park (sorry about all the fluff on your clothes guys! :P). Did I say I can’t wait for the big day??
