Kelly & Steve | Engagement

I first met Kelly & Steve at Sophie and Henry’s wedding a few years back, and now I am so excited to be shooting their own wedding later this year! I love it when that happens, and when I might even come across some familiar face on the wedding day, it makes me feel like I’m being part of some bigger picture with these amazing connections that spread further and further.

For Kelly & Steve’s engagement session we headed to Regents Park in search of some beautiful cherry blossoms. After a few confused laps of getting slightly lost, we did get lucky with some blossoms, as we did with the beautiful evening sun. Despite none of us clearly having any sense of direction, we did have a good giggle, and did even eventually find our way out of the park. I just loved hanging out with these two, and can’t wait for the big day!

Nirali & Kunal | Engagement

I bet Californian photographers’ blogs don’t talk about rain quite as much as mine does… It’s just a fact of London life that with every session there’s that element of excitement about whether it will bucket it down on the day or not. When it came to Nirali & Kunal’s engagement session, the pressure was really on, as between the days they were visiting London from New York and my availability, we had such a narrow window of opportunity to do our session. And of course, as if on cue, it started absolutely peeing it down an hour before our session… Luckily the rain shower was hard but short lived, and afterwards we got to have beautifully gleaming wet pavements to add a bit of London flavour into the shots.

I’m so glad the weather worked out, and despite the rain, I do love London in the autumn! It was such a pleasure meeting you Nirali & Kunal, and I hope your wedding back in NY will be absolutely fabulous! x

Jill & Gareth | Engagement

Jill and Gareth live in Washington DC, and have been planning their wedding in the UK remotely, hence I’ve been waiting to meet them for what seems like forever! While they were over here in June, sorting out details for the October wedding, we finally got to hang out together for their engagement session. And it was so so much fun! I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with as a gorgeous laugh as Jill has, and it was a joy to capture her boundless energy and the beautiful interaction between Gareth and her. The timing was also perfect for the rose garden in Regent’s Park, which was in full bloom and a great backdrop for pictures.

It was such a pleasure spending time with you guys, I’m really looking forward to the wedding now!

Sarah & Dan | Engagement

Sarah and Dan are pretty special. They were the first ever couple to book me, after I’ve had my website live for just a few weeks. I can’t tell you how fantastic it makes me feel that they would put their faith in me on the biggest day of their lives, knowing that I was only starting up my business back then. They’re the type of annoyingly organised people who booked last year for their wedding this August, so it’s taken a while for us to get around to organising their engagement shoot. Yesterday, on a swelteringly hot day, we finally headed off to Regent’s Park for some photos. The park was absolutely heaving with sun worshipping people, and it took quite a lot of walking trying to find seemingly secluded nooks and crannies in the vast park. And did I mention that it was h-o-t! :D

We also went to have a quick look at their wedding venue, The Landmark Hotel, which was just around the corner. What sumptuous surroundings to have a wedding in, it was truly gorgeous in there. I can hardly wait for the day, it’s going to be awesome!
