The last few weeks have been very rock ‘n roll indeed. First, both Rose & Brendan’s Southwark engagement shoot, and Caroline & Ben’s gorgeous London wedding got featured by Kat on Rock ‘n Roll Bride. And now Kat’s interview in the recent issue of Sew magazine was illustrated with a picture I took of her beautiful bespoke shoes. Yay!

Caroline & Ben | Wedding
I’m so happy to finally be able to blog about Caroline & Ben’s beautiful London wedding. There are so many things I loved about this wedding, from Caroline’s stunning Jenny Packham gown and headpiece, to the gorgeous Market Suite at the Fox & Anchor where Caroline and the girls were getting ready, through to the beautiful ceremony at Islington Town Hall and reception at The Crypt. There was a real London feel about this wedding, and I loved the fact that when we went for a little portrait shoot with Caroline and Ben after the ceremony, we just hailed a black cab. When in London…
Thanks so much C&B for letting us be a part of your beautiful day!
We love… blogging brides (and one groom)
As an enthusiastic reader of blogs, I always find it exciting when I find out a client of mine is a blogger. I really enjoy reading up on their wedding plans, or checking out their style blogs, in order to find out a bit more about what makes them tick. I thought it might be fun to share a few of my favourite blogging brides (and one groom!) with you. I hope you’ll find these blogs, with very different subject matters, as enjoyable as I do.
A Norfolk wedding.
Clare is getting married on the beautiful Norfolk coast, and she blogs about her plans and ideas for the wedding. All her gorgeous moodboards really inspire me and make me look forward to this wedding so much!
Modern Vintage Bride
Saleema blogs about all things wedding. She has an exquisite sense of style and a keen eye for details, especially those with a vintage flair, so I’m sure this is one wedding that will be absolutely stunning. Her wedding is actually split into two, with a Ghanaian ceremony on one day, and an English wedding on the day that I’m covering.
Le Blog de la Mechante
Elodie’s blog is a treasure trove of quirky ideas, beautiful pictures and copious amounts eye candy. Her plans for her wedding are SO creative that the wedding will most likely be the most individual looking one I’ve ever attended, and I really can’t wait to see all the things she will come up with. Hers is bound to be a wedding full of fun and whimsy!
The Cherry Blossom Girl
There’s no denying that Alix is one of the most stylish bloggers out there in the fashion blogosphere. I have no doubt that her wedding will be absolutely beautiful from start to finish, and that everyone involved will look super cool from head to bottom. What a better way to celebrate my birthday this year than to get to record this wedding. Squee!
Georgian London
If you’re interested in the history of London, Lucy’s blog is an absolute treat! Her writing is engaging and her facts well-researched, which has earned her blog all sort of accolades. It really is a fascinating look into the history of this exciting city that surrounds us.
Marc Broussely Photography blog
Marc has just launched a new website, and a new blog to go with it. I really enjoy his music photography and every time I visit his blog I get an itch to go buy concert tickets. If you’re a gig goer and love photography that helps you relive the best times, look no further than Marc’s blog.
Rock ‘n Roll Bride
Well, technically Kat isn’t really a client of mine, but I have done a photo shoot with her, so I say she qualifies! How could I leave out the royalty of UK wedding blogs from my list. If you need ideas on how to make a wedding look like you, look no further. Kat’s blog is packed with individual couples channeling their inner cool.
Rose & Brendan | Engagement
Rose & Brendan’s Southwark engagement session was so much fun. It was the first truly warm day of this spring (even if the temperature has taken a turn for the worse since then) and we even had a few rays of sunshine to brighten up our day. After the looooong, dark and cold winter we’ve had in London, it really felt good to be out and about without being dressed for an arctic expedition. I’m so looking forward to Rose and Brendan’s wedding in June, which, with Rose’s fashion designer credentials, is bound to be absolutely beautiful.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention, they also get a gold star for being the first couple ever who jumped perfectly on the first shot! :D
Lucy & Jeremy | Wedding
First of all, can I just go on record and say that St. Bartholomew The Great is quite possibly the most gorgeous church I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. Tucked away behind London’s Smithfield Market, it’s so inconspicuous from the outside that you would never guess at the gorgeousness inside. I’m not alone in my opinion either, proved by the fact that St. Barts has been used as a location in several films. It certainly provided a breathtaking backdrop to Lucy & Jeremy’s wedding ceremony.
Mind you, it wasn’t just the church that was impressive, the reception at The Royal Exchange was equally stunning. These amazing venues, and the attention to details, did make me feel like I was lost in a movie or a fairytale for the day.
Thanks Lucy and Jeremy for letting us share your magical day with you, I hope you’re enjoying your kick-ass honeymoon as we speak!
